Each unit is made up of the following sections:

Text
In this section the student is exposed to everyday, contemporary conversational situations. The conversations are spoken and written in Greek but with a simple click the English translation appears on the screen. Students also have the option to hear the Greek audio while reading the English translation.

Grammar
When have verb conjugations, indefinite pronouns, and prepositions ever been fun? In this section. The tutor accompanies concise grammatical information with interactive grammar questions which students must answer correctly before moving on.
Culture
A huge step away from the stale, old-fashioned language books, Odysseas makes sure that students not only learn to communicate, but also keep in touch with the ways of Greece today.

Vocabulary
Unit-specific words and phrases spelled out in Greek with English translation.


Homework / Feedback
At the end of each unit, students are required to complete online homework assignments. As they answer each question, they are provided with immediate feedback. Their performance is recorded into a searchable database enabling the instructor to see each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and progress.

Additional Grammar Exercises
At specific junctures, students take online exams. Each exam is constructed similarly to the homework, but it does not offer immediate feedback. After completing the entire exam, the student is able to view his/her performance and is given the option to answer bonus grammar questions if not satisfied with the score.


View Performance
This function enables each student to view his/her progress in the class. Each exercise, exam and grade is posted, as well as a report of how the individual is performing in comparison to the rest of the class, motivating all to work their hardest.


Audio exercises
Students also receive feedback on their pronunciation exercises. Each pupil is asked to read phrases, sentences and paragraphs out loud into voice uploading software. The files are accessed by the instructor, who either provides feedback over email or asks students to call during office hours for further practice.


ADMINISTRATORS

Odysseas is an exciting experience for the administrator of the class as well as for the students. For the first time, the instructor is able to see exactly how each individual is performing at all times, without grade books and piles of paper. The online class lists, live links to contacts for each student, tables of class and student performances, and exam constraints links, make teaching the class a stress-free, rewarding experience.
